Prior to joining Lightcliffe Academy in January 2023, Jo Hackett worked fora significant number of years at Oasis Academy Lister Park in Manningham,Bradford. Jo joined the Oasis senior leadership team when the academy was inspecial measures and played an integral role in its journey to requiresimprovement in 2016, then to a good judgement in 2019.
While at Oasis Academy, Jo performed a number of senior roles; first leadingon data, outcomes and interventions then heading up teaching and learning. In2019, following her promotion to Deputy Principal, she took on responsibilityfor the academy’s curriculum, also leading on personal development with aparticular focus on diversity and PSHCE. As the academy’s strategicsafe-guarding lead, Jo had oversight of the therapeutic support and pastoralcare in place at Oasis Lister Park.
A passion for inclusion underpins everything Jo does, along with thestrong belief that positive relationships and self-esteem are central towellbeing and achievement. Jo believes that the power of good teaching and bespokecare and support combine to make a transformational difference to young people.
