Thank You for Joining Us at Our Open Evening

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Open Evening at Lightcliffe Academy. It was a pleasure to welcome so many prospective students and their families and to share what makes our academy such a special place to learn and thrive.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore our facilities, meet our dedicated staff and speak with current students about their experiences at the academy. Families also enjoyed a range of engaging activities that showcased the exciting learning opportunities available across the school.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from Head of School, Mrs Jo Hackett, who spoke passionately about her pride in Lightcliffe Academy, our students and our staff. She shared our commitment to providing an excellent education for every child and ensuring all students have access to the opportunities, support and experiences they need to flourish. Mrs Hackett also highlighted the importance of helping each student discover their individual strengths, interests and talents, enabling them to develop confidence, achieve their potential and find their place within our academy community.

Applications for Year 7 places for September 2027 must be submitted through your local authority by 31 October 2026. We encourage families to apply by the deadline to ensure their application is considered as part of the national admissions process.
