Staff and students at Lightcliffe Academy are incredibly proud of Scarlet Garland who achieved strong passes in all her subjects while competing for Great Britain in artistic swimming at the European Championships.  This is a fantastic achievement, and we look forward to seeing her compete in the future and go from strength to strength in her sporting talent.

Jo Hackett, Head of School, was delighted with the results: “I am really proud of the students this morning. They have worked incredibly hard and shown great resilience, maturity and commitment. They will go on to achieve great things, and I wish them all the very best. I also want to say thank you to our team of brilliant staff as they worked tirelessly to ensure our students were well prepared for their exams. I am lucky to be Head at Lightcliffe Academy.”
