Ms L Conlon

Ms Conlon moved from Northern Ireland to England in 2007 to study ICT (Hons) with QTS (Secondary).  She started her career as a teacher of ICT at Calder High School and soon after became head of KS3 ICT.  She joined Lightcliffe Academy in 2015 and since this time she has taken up many roles within the academy; Head of ICT, Achievement Director of EBACC, Associate Assistant Principal for KS3 Curriculum.  In her current role she is Assistant Principal for Standards and is responsible for data, assessment, outcomes and the provision for Pupil Premium students and COVID catch-up.

Ms Conlon believes that all pupils deserve to be in a learning environment that fosters creativity, nurtures an inquisitive mind, encourages independent learning and builds opportunities for lifelong learning.

Outside of school Ms Conlon enjoys spending time with her three children, baking, long walks on the beach and watching rugby and Formula 1.
